There are two things in life that seem to cause us all problems. No one is exempt from this and they are as common and vital to us as drinking water. Money and Relationships. And not necessarily in that order. As humans we have this instinctual desire to be connected to other people. Even if it isn’t a partner, it’s parents, friends, colleagues. We want to know that we belong somewhere and with someone in this lifetime. We want to know we are accepted and loved. And money, which is linked in to career, is a necessity if we want a roof over our heads, clothes to wear and food to eat. Not to mention all the other little goodies that make living easier and more fun. Let’s face it, life is easier if you don’t have money worries.
So, if you don’t have a relationship or you are struggling financially, your focus tends to be on wanting to do something about it. You may start feeling somewhat stressed about the whole situation. Maybe you look longingly at others who have a great relationship or a big house with a nice car. Now, I’m not going to tell you that you need to be happy with what you have. It is helpful to be happy with what you have, but there also isn’t anything wrong with wanting more. The key is to become the person that would attract what you want. Do you want a life partner? Who would that person be? What kind of person would your life partner be attracted to? Someone who is self-confident? Independent? Comfortable in their own skin?
What about money? Are you tired of being skint? Struggling to make ends meet every month? How much money do you need? What needs to happen for you to be receiving that amount of money? Do you need to be re-educated? Start your own business? Know your heart’s desire and follow it?
In both relationships and money, the key is to be WHO you need to be to openly receive WHAT you want. How do you know who you need to be? That’s where personal and spiritual growth and development comes in. Do you have historical issues that need to be dealt with? Maybe you need to seek the help of a counsellor to unblock your potential. Do you feel physically heavy when you go to work? Is it really the right place for you?
Have you thought about how you can grow and develop as a personal and spiritual being? Have you somewhere in the deep recesses of your soul accepted that this is all life has to offer? Maybe take a bit of time to think about it. And notice. When does your body feel heavy and when does it feel light? What are you doing? Who are you with? A heavy feeling indicates that what is happening isn’t nurturing for you. A light feeling indicates that you are making a decision, in a place or with people that feed your soul. Awareness, that is the key.
